By now, you may have heard about the quirky quest in “Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii” where Goro Majima is tasked with collecting some precious golden balls. Yep, that’s right—actual golden spheres scattered across various ports, not something more metaphorical as the headline might suggest. Collecting these balls is reminiscent of side missions in “Like A Dragon: Gaiden.” Until recently, a pesky bug stopped some players from completing the task, but thankfully, that issue is no more. So, you can put down your rotten tomatoes and stop threatening to unleash Kiryu on me!
The game just rolled out a fresh update—patch 1.12—dropped today, March 7, courtesy of RGG. Among its tweaks, it notably addresses and resolves the frustrating golden ball snag, according to the patch notes. RGG remains cryptic, though. Which ball was the problem? What made it disappear? Maybe some in-game pirate, not a retired Yakuza boss, swiped it. Who knows? Thin Lizzy might say, “The balls are back in town,” and that’s really what counts here.
Let’s talk about the other improvements this update brings across all platforms:
– Fixed a bug preventing manual saves.
– Resolved an issue where reloading a save could drop players into the sea with no way back—sounds hilariously frustrating!
– Addressed the problem with arcade game rankings not getting saved.
– Cleaned up various typos and localization mishaps.
– Tackled several other bugs to bolster stability and quality.
For those on PC, good news: the game now supports Intel XeSS 2.0.1 and it resolves a rare crash during resource loading. If you’re encountering random driver crashes with certain NVIDIA GPUs, RGG suggests capping your FPS at 60 in the settings to mitigate the issue.
If you haven’t dived into Pirate Yakuza yet, definitely check out my review. It covers these updates and playfully ponders whether not laughing at a middle-aged Japanese man in the shower signals a decline in my sense of humor. Enjoy the game and happy hunting for those golden treasures!
