This isn’t just a rumor – there’s buzz in the air! Some fresh intel about 2XKO has appeared on social media, injecting a much-needed dose of excitement into this month’s gaming scene. The big news? It’s an announcement about an upcoming development update video. What’s exciting is that we’ll soon have a comprehensive look at what’s new with the game, Jinx, and the forthcoming Alpha Lab testing phase.
The bearer of this thrilling news is none other than Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief at 2XKO. He recently took to Twitter to share this: “We just wrapped up filming for the next 2XKO update! We’re still in the midst of editing, production, and localization, but here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store: an in-depth exploration of the gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1 (yes, including Jinx!), along with context and details about Alpha Lab 2, and even a showdown featuring the dev team.”
Forbes added in the tweet, “This update goes pretty deep, so expect the video to be on the lengthy side (probably around an hour?). We’re aiming for a release during the last week of March. We’re not stepping into the world of PowerPoint livestreams just yet, but maybe someday…”
Before you get too excited, Ben also clarified that there won’t be any new character reveals in this update, so it’s best not to place bets on that front.
Last year left us waiting as the 2XKO team promised more details would arrive in February. Instead, game director Shaun Rivera hopped on Twitter to discuss a few adjustments. These include a change in the scope of the next Alpha Labs test and a new direction for the game.
It appears internal timelines at Riot have shifted, along with changes in plans for the Alpha Lab tests, moving the anticipated February update to this month. With the game set for release this year, it’s crucial to get a fresh info dump about what’s happening, what’s in progress, and where we might see 2XKO making a splash in the gaming world soon.
