You read that right. The PlayStation Network (PSN) has gone dark. Both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players are facing a glitch in the matrix, with online services taking a breather. Unfortunately, your gaming plans will have to hit the pause button for now.
Currently, the only word from the official sources comes from a tweet by Ask PlayStation Japan. Through a translation courtesy of Twitter’s built-in tool, here’s what they’ve shared:
“We’re aware that PlayStation™ Network (including PlayStation® Store) might be down. We sincerely apologize to our customers for the trouble. Our team is on the case, working hard to get everything back up and running, so we ask for your patience.”
In simpler terms, Sony’s on it, but there’s no fix-time in sight just yet. It’s a bit of a bummer, especially as this hiccup has happened during the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta. While Xbox and PC players dive into their adventures, PlayStation users are stuck on the sidelines. And let’s not forget, it’s the weekend—that precious window when folks with busy weekdays finally get some gaming time. Fingers crossed the network is back before we know it!
